It's sure to be one that I buy the next time I get a gift card to a book store.Alycehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10919057159829023714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873036011530033335.post-82123247326029215882009-11-03T18:46:01.792-05:002009-11-03T18:46:01.792-05:00Interesting review, it sounds like it's worth ...Interesting review, it sounds like it's worth a read. I wouldn't call it my favorite ever, ever, but I did like it all the same and definitely felt something after reading it.

I guess with your question one, it makes me think of the Milgram's study where the subjects were asked to shock people into having a 'heart attack' under the direction of one of the experimenters. Crazy situations breed crazy results.

Hope you figure out what you think about it!Shehttp://www.historyofshe.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873036011530033335.post-7589952697435477292009-11-03T14:36:53.474-05:002009-11-03T14:36:53.474-05:00I am so with you on "Unwind." I too struggled with the "suspension of disbelief" - I'm willing to believe a lot, but it still has to make sense within the society we're presented with. I listened to the audiobook of Shusterman's "Everlost" on a long car trip and liked that somewhat better (although I was asleep for part of it).

(p.s. I figured if I couldn't let it go, it must be really good!Triciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09701299201863734003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3873036011530033335.post-68146657547146225822009-11-02T23:57:54.057-05:002009-11-02T23:57:54.057-05:00I really enjoyed this book... it made me think as ...I really enjoyed this book... it made me think as well!

I totally understand what you are saying about the review being shallow so you don't give anything away, btw.
